Launching the Fempower Network has been a long time goal for both Nicole and Amy. We asked them 10 questions to find out more about these two amazing ladies.

Nicole Hewitt Donaldson

1. What’s your brilliance?
I love to help women align with their brilliance and get out of their own way! I combine mind mastery with practical processes and strategies to help women create their kick-ass business. I’m a teacher and healer (ex-teacher, ex-nurse) and I’ve found a way to bring my brilliance together to help empower women!
2. What excites you about your work?.
I am SO inspired by the brilliant women who come to me. Some are confident in their gifts but haven’t quite aligned with their business; others can’t see their own brilliance because they’ve been telling themselves they’re not good enough but they know they want to do something of value. When I work with these women and they clear their blocks and identify what they really want they transform before my eyes…that’s when my tears of gratitude flow for the work I get to do. Gulping now…!
3. Where can we find you when you’re not working?
Ooh, well if I’m not with my grown-up family, teaching, reading or creating new programs you’ll probably find me at a boutique coffee shop or cafe. I love people watching! You might also find me on some daring adventure hanging off a cliff face pretending to be spider woman!
4. Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now?
I grew up in the UK in the Midlands – it’s a bit like Middle Earth if you’re a Tolkien fan! I left my career, family and country when I was 19 to be with my Aussie heartthrob. We’ve moved around quite a lot since then – I’ve moved internationally 5 times! I’m definitely the Queen of Transition (and Transformation!)
5. What causes do you support and why?
My causes are selected mostly from personal experience so I tend to support charities which focus on empowering women and children. I am also involved with a charity which supports former and current military personnel and their families who have been severely affected by experiences in service of their country. If we each do our little bit, transformations occur.
6. What do you want your legacy to be?
It’s my greatest desire to help transform the lives of women. When we do that we can change the lives of their families, their communities and the world at large. We are the ripple effect. It would be my greatest honour to be known as someone who contributed to women in such a way that their lives changed.
7. What’s the best piece of advice you have received from an empowered woman?
My grandmother was my rock when I was a child. She was poor and had experienced incredible life challenges with the death of two of her children just 6 weeks apart – she lost 5 in total! Anyway, Nanny told me one day, when my heart was breaking, “You have to let people go, if they are truly yours they will return. If not, someone better is waiting for you.” She was right and this advice applies to everything in life, not just relationships.
8. Why have you created the Fempower Network?
The journey of the entrepreneur and business owner can be lonely and challenging. At least that’s what I have experienced. The Fempower Network has been growing inside of me for years – being incubated. Then I met Amy and we discovered we had a united goal and I knew it was time to birth this baby and provide women all over the world with support and education in growing their business AND life. Women grow from communion with other women, we all become greater, we all shine brighter.
9. What is the one thing that your clients need to know about you?
I will support you AND I will challenge you. I have been described as a brick wrapped with love. If you want someone who is going to sugar coat everything to make you feel better – it’s not me. I understand human behaviour and the relationship of quantum physics to you and your business. I hold the vision of life & business mastery for you and that informs my work with you.
10. Who inspires you?
My work and direction in life has been inspired by my grandmother and mother. Both women faced significant challenges in their lives and were not empowered enough to fully enrich their lives to the extent that they deserved. Despite so much hardship they both remained driven. My grandmother taught me that love was ever present; even in the worst of times. My mother taught me that no matter what you can pick yourself up and start again. Two very inspirational women who I have to thank for being here today.

1. What’s your brilliance?
Hypnotherapy, systems, social media. I’m very good at reading people and working out what makes them tick which has been vital in the business that I have been involved in. I also love numbers and stationary!
2. What excites you about your work?
I love watching people come alive when they talk about the work that they want to do business wise, I also love the feeling that I get when I have finished a hypno session with a client and I can literally see the difference in their face. There is genuinely no feeling like knowing that you have made such a difference.
3. Where can we find you when you’re not working?
With my friends!. Lots of people will say that I love going out and partying but those who really know me know that I just love being around my friends and loved ones. I have such a varied friendship group that no weekend is ever the same I could be partying, abseiling, at the beach or just at home watching movies and I LOVE it!!
4. Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now?
I grew up in a small village near Preston in England. Some major life changes and a revitalised sense of adventure made me leave last year and I’ve never looked back.
5. What causes do you support and why?
I try to support as many charities as I can and will always try and get involved in causes that resonate with me. I was born with a Congenital Heart defect so heart charities have a real personal draw for me. I’m a huge dog lover as well so animal charities are another one that tugs on my heart strings.
6. What do you want your legacy to be?
I just want to be able to say that I made a difference in someone’s life. I have four nieces and nephews who I hope will learn from my example that they are capable of anything they set their mind to.
7. What’s the best piece of advice you have received from an empowered woman?
My mum is amazing and she has given me so many pieces of advice over the years (not that I’ve always welcomed it) My favourite was in a Christmas card she gave me when I spent my first Christmas alone and away from home which was.. ‘What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us’ it’s still my screensaver now!
8. Why have you created the Fempower Network?
There have been times in both my business and personal life when I have felt so lost but like I couldn’t confide in anyone because I needed to be ‘together’ 100% of the time. It’s so lonely and ultimately it didn’t do me any good. The choices that I made in both areas weren’t in keeping with who I am. I want women to be able to have somewhere they can see that others are going through the same things and get practical advice and emotional support.
9. What is the one thing that your clients need to know about you?
I’m a lot tougher (and older!) than I look and can give a great “wake up and smell the coffee” speech but it’s always done with love and I’m 100% behind you when it comes to building your success.
10. Who inspires you?
I don’t have to look far for inspirational women I’m incredibly fortunate that my life is full of them. My mum was the main wage earner for a lot of my childhood and she worked very hard in a job she loved but I never felt that she was absent for anything that mattered in my life. My sister is the most amazing mother to four beautiful children its full on for her a lot of the time and I’ve no idea where she gets the patience but she also manages to run a small business doing what she loves!
